<b>Description</b><br>
The most eclectic and inventive of the ISHISHI ballpoint works. This densely populated composition takes the architectural cityscape formula and enriches it with a remarkable collection of disparate objects: a sailing ship sits nestled among rooftops, a flying saucer hovers at lower left, mechanical gears and cogs are integrated into the architecture, flowers and plants grow from rooftops, chess pawn-like forms stand among the buildings, and ornamental Gothic pointed arches with tassel details frame the lower right. Spiral and conical towers, winding pathways, bottle-shaped structures and clouds complete the fantastical inventory.<br><br>
Where some of the ISHISHI works read as pure architectural exercises, this piece is playful and genuinely surrealist - a dreamscape that rewards close inspection.
