<b>Description</b><br>
Companion work to Lot 318, this frontal or three-quarter composite head has a markedly darker and more confrontational character. The face is assembled from swirling tubes, curving pipes, a prominent central eye motif, angular geometric blocks, teeth-like serrated forms at the lower left suggesting a jaw, and ribbon-like curving elements. Where the profile piece (Lot 318) reads as classical and measured, this frontal view is unsettling and aggressive.<br><br>
The palette is predominantly monochromatic: greys, blacks and browns with subtle warm flesh-toned accents. The canvas weave is visible through the pencil work. Minor condition notes: small spots near signature area and slight corner scuffing on verso. No date notation visible on verso. In good overall condition. Signed "ISHISHI" at lower right.<br><br>
