Overview

The Santos de Cartier is one of the oldest wristwatch designs still in continuous production, born in 1904 when Louis Cartier created a wristwatch for aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont so he could check the time without releasing his aircraft controls. The Santos Galbee is the refined, curved expression of that original square case, the "Galbee" profile softening the architecture into something that wears as comfortably as it looks. In stainless steel and 18-karat yellow gold, this is the Santos at its most complete: the warmth of gold on the bezel, the alternating gold screw accents threading through every bracelet link, and the contrast of steel and gold making for a watch that announces Cartier without needing to try.
