Overview

The Ferrari and Panerai collaboration produced some of the most collectible limited editions of the early 2000s. The Gran Turismo FER00001 was engineered by Officine Panerai under licence from Ferrari, combining Panerai's signature 44mm cushion case and mechanical competence with Ferrari's motorsport visual language. The collaboration no longer exists, making surviving full-set examples increasingly sought after by collectors on both sides of the brand equation. This example was purchased new from F.lli Pisa on Via Montenapoleone in Milan in February 2007. F.lli Pisa is one of Italy's most prestigious authorised luxury retailers, and the original guarantee certificate carries the dealer stamp confirming the purchase. The watch comes with the complete original documentation set: the dark wood presentation box, Ferrari-Panerai warranty booklet, and international guarantee card with purchase details intact.



The dial is in excellent condition: the carbon-fibre crosshatch pattern is crisp, the applied silver Ferrari prancing horse emblem at 12 o'clock is intact, and the subsidiary seconds register at 9 o'clock with its red-tipped hand retains its character. The case shows light surface wear on the bezel edges and flanks consistent with 17 years of occasional use. No deep gouges or dings are visible. The black rubber strap shows no cracking or deterioration and the screw-down crown is functional with no visible damage.

Condition

The watch presents well for its age. The case carries light surface scratches on the bezel edges and case flanks consistent with regular wear over approximately 17 years of ownership, with the brushed/satin finishing largely intact and no deep marks or dents. The carbon-fibre patterned dial is clean with no moisture damage, fading, or discolouration. The sapphire crystal is free of visible chips or scratches. The black rubber strap remains supple with no cracking or splitting. The crown is intact and functional.
