Overview

The Planet Ocean arrived in 2005 as Omega's most serious professional dive watch, stepping beyond the Seamaster 300M with a 600-metre water resistance rating, a larger case, and a new Co-Axial escapement in an instrument-grade package. The black dial with orange Arabic numerals is the original and definitive Planet Ocean combination: high-contrast, immediately legible underwater, and visually striking in every context. It is the same specification worn on screen in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, and it has become one of the most recognisable watch designs of the 2000s.



Photos confirm the dial in excellent condition with a rich black sunburst surface that catches a deep navy sheen in changing light. The orange Arabic numerals at 12, 6, and 9 o'clock are clean, sharp, and unfaded. The applied baton hour markers with their luminous fill are intact and evenly preserved, and the orange-tipped central seconds hand is present. The unidirectional black aluminium diving bezel shows no fading, chips, or surface damage, and the coin-edge grip profile remains sharp. The stainless steel case presents in excellent pre-owned condition with no significant scratches or dings on the polished case flanks or brushed lug surfaces. The black rubber strap with orange contrast stitching is in good condition and carries an Omega-signed pin buckle. The helium escape valve at 10 o'clock is part of the standard case specification on this reference. No box or papers are included with this lot.

Condition

The watch presents in excellent pre-owned condition. The black dial is clean with no marks or print degradation. The orange accents are unfaded and bright. The bezel insert is free from chips, fading, and scratches. The stainless steel case shows no significant wear marks on polished or brushed surfaces. The rubber strap with orange stitching is in good supple condition with no cracking or peeling. No box or papers are included.
