Overview

The Datejust II 116300 was Rolex's 41mm Datejust before the current 126300 generation, and in all-Oystersteel with the smooth polished bezel it represents one of the cleanest, most versatile configurations in the Datejust lineage. The smooth dome bezel gives the 116300 a bold, contemporary character that works differently from the more traditional fluted variants, and the white dial with applied luminous baton markers and Mercedes-style hour hand is legible, precise, and timelessly proportioned for a 41mm case. The 116300 was discontinued in 2016 when the 126300 replaced it, meaning clean examples with the original box represent increasingly good value against the current-generation equivalent. This example presents in excellent condition and includes Rolex Service Center documentation confirming the watch has been through a Rolex-authorised service.

Condition

The watch presents in excellent to very good pre-owned condition. The white dial is immaculate with no marks, spots, or discoloration and all applied baton markers are correctly positioned and undamaged. The sapphire crystal is clear and free of scratches with the Cyclops magnification lens intact. The smooth polished bezel is clean and well-maintained with no dings or significant marks. The Oystersteel case retains good polish with clean case lines and well-defined lug edges. The Oyster bracelet is tight and well-finished with the Oysterclasp in excellent condition showing no significant wear. The box shows light external scuffing and edge wear consistent with normal age, while the watch itself has been kept in materially better condition than its outer packaging.
