Description/Extras:
This VL Commodore is a matching-numbers example that has undergone extensive mechanical and cosmetic upgrades while retaining strong factory identity. Originally finished in Maranello Red, the vehicle was repainted green in 2001, with some minor paint preparation blemishes visible. It features a factory grey 15i interior, fully redone in 2023, and a refurbished instrument cluster.
Mechanical work includes a full long motor rebuild in 2023 (receipt supplied), full gearbox rebuild in 2023 (receipt supplied), and a new Exedy clutch, with less than 2,000 kilometres travelled since completion. The engine is fitted with a low‑mount Garrett GT35/40 turbocharger, 3‑inch mandrel‑bent exhaust, PWR intercooler, and MoTeC M48 ECU. The vehicle is reported to be running approximately 11 psi and producing around 390 horsepower.
Further upgrades include a VT HSV four‑wheel disc brake conversion, King springs with Koni shocks, new steering rack, half Walkinshaw body kit, and 18‑inch black reproduction Walkinshaw wheels fitted with Bridgestone Potenza tyres (approximately 2,000 km). Interior and convenience features include updated audio system with AUX/USB, carpet mats front and rear, and a large stereo system with subwoofers and amplifiers mounted in the boot. Minor blemishes are noted to chrome accents and door handles. Vendor advises power steering is fitted; air conditioning is not operational.
