The XJ40 is the car Jaguar bet the company on, and the Sovereign specification is the top of the range: deep burr walnut veneer throughout, Connolly leather upholstery, electric memory seats, separate climate control, and the AJ6 3.6-litre engine that transformed Jaguar's reputation for reliability. This car presents well for its age and mileage. The burgundy paintwork is glossy and consistent across all panels, the chrome and exterior trim are all present and in reasonable order, and the door cards and rear seat leather are in good condition with original walnut trim largely intact.
