Description / Overview:
The R170 SLK was Mercedes-Benz's answer to the question of whether you could have your cake and eat it too. Folding metal roof for when the weather turns, rear-wheel drive for when you want a bit of fun, and the classic three-pointed star on the bonnet for when you want people to know about it. This example has done nearly 250,000 km in the hands of one owner for approximately 18 years, and it shows the honest wear you would expect from a car that was actually driven and not just kept under a cover.
The exterior is straight and clean with consistent Arctic White paint and no accident damage evident in photos. All panels are aligned, badges and trim are complete, and the Vario-roof mechanism is shown in the stowed position and appears operational. Interior is two-tone black and cream leather with the original documentation pack, including service booklet, owner's manual, and technical data booklet. The M111 Kompressor engine bay is all present and correct, if a little dusty.
Headlamp lenses have the oxidation typical for a car of this age and are a polish or replacement job. The interior headliner is delaminating, which is a known and common R170 fault. Mechanically the car is reported to be in running condition and is supplied with current WA registration until May 2026. WA buyers only via vehicle transfer form.
