Description / Overview:
This is as honest as a 1964 F100 gets. A Kansas City-built Custom Cab Styleside in the desirable two-tone Colonial White over Chateau Maroon with a full 128-inch wheelbase long bed. The warranty plate F10CK453657 is still legible on the door jamb and confirms Custom Cab specification, 135 net horsepower inline-6, and long-bed Styleside body. Every piece of chrome and trim is present and accounted for: the individual FORD letters on the grille header, both chrome bumpers, the Custom Cab cab corner scripts, the period West Coast mirrors, and the factory dog-dish hubcaps on red steel wheels. You rarely see a barn find with all its jewellery still on it.
The truck has been sitting and shows its age honestly. The upper white panels are heavily oxidised and the surfaces need work. More significantly, there is a rust-through at the lower rear cab corner requiring patch panel repair, the driver's floor pan has a hole covered by a road sign, the rear bed floor seam has pinhole perforations, and the hood leading edge has a perforation at the moisture trap. The frame, however, is solid and black-coated with no visible structural rot. The body is straight and uncrashed. The engine is complete with its original carburettor and air cleaner in place. This is a proper project truck with sound bones, solid lower body panels, a complete trim package, and a strong platform for restoration or a patina build.
