Description

This is a near-new full off-road family caravan that would have cost somewhere between $100,000 and $120,000 to buy new from Boutique Caravans in Melbourne. Comparable Boutique family models are currently listed on the secondhand market in the $90,000-plus range. Pay attention to where this one finishes.



The foundation tells you everything. The AL-KO Enduro X Country 2 is a premium independent trailing arm suspension chassis weighing 905kg on its own, designed for serious off-road touring. It sits on Westlake Mud Legend off-road tyres (265/75R16) with black alloy wheels and connects via a Cruisemaster DO35 V3 coupling with integrated handbrake and breakaway safety system. The entire frame is hot-dip galvanised steel with a Boutique signature one-piece fibreglass roof overhead. This is not a caravan park queen. It was built to go places.



The family layout is sorted. Front bedroom with a queen size pillowtop innerspring mattress, pigeonholes with USB power points and bedroom fans. Mid-section has an L-shaped dinette in premium faux leather with pedestal table and under-seat storage. The rear has triple bunk beds with soft panels, each bunk with its own 240V power points and fans. That means this van genuinely sleeps a family without anyone ending up on a converted dinette. Two skylights provide natural light through the living space, and double glazed flat-pane tinted windows throughout keep heat management sensible.



The kitchen runs a Bushman 194L compressor fridge/freezer, a Swift full oven with griller and cooktop, a slimline rangehood, and a 25L microwave. Bench tops are premium laminate with gas strut overhead cupboards and soft close drawers throughout. The ensuite has a Thetford ceramic toilet and a one-piece fibreglass shower with reverse cycle fan, plus a 3.2kg top load washing machine. Hot water is handled by a Swift gas and electric system. Two 95L fresh water tanks (190L total) and a 95L grey water tank with a filtered water tap on the A-frame.



Off-grid capability is where this van really stands out. Two 200W solar panels (400W total) feed into two 120Ah AGM batteries, managed by an Arizon Victron Energy micro board with a BM Pro Trek3 display. That is a properly specced power system that will keep you going for days off the grid. Reverse cycle heating and cooling air conditioning handles climate, and a MaxxFan powered roof vent provides ventilation when you do not want the AC running.



Entertainment is covered with a premium sound package including Bluetooth/USB/CD/radio with both internal ceiling-mount speakers and external NCE marine-grade speakers. TV point and Winegard antenna fitted inside and out. The CrimSafe triple-lock entry door with aluminium security mesh and blind provides serious security, and the LED illuminated bubble light grab handle lights the way in at night. External picnic table with LED lighting, anti-insect annex lights, front and rear work lights with external switch, and a full-length roll-out awning with LED strip light underneath complete the outdoor setup.



Storage is generous. Extra large front toolbox with double-sided slide-out storage, tunnel boot with lights, multiple external hatches, and heavy duty checker plate body armour with wheel spats protecting the lower panels. Marine-grade smooth finish composite panels on the upper body with the Boutique vinyl decal kit in black, grey and silver geometric design.



From the photos, this van presents in excellent condition. Some cobwebs in the coupling and under the chassis from sitting at the yard, minor surface rust spots near the external water tap (cosmetic), and moderate tyre wear with good tread remaining. Interior is clean with no visible damage. All decals intact, no peeling or fading. Near-new condition consistent with a May 2023 build.
