Overview
A large, dramatic cocktail ring in 14K yellow gold with Art Deco geometric design executed in fine detail. The design draws from all the signature elements of the Art Deco era - sunburst radiating lines, symmetrical fan shapes, concentric ovals, open lacework, and channel-set coloured stones - and synthesises them into an ornate plaque-style head with considerable visual impact. This is a modern piece, designed using CAD and hand-finished by skilled craftspeople, inspired by the Art Deco aesthetic rather than a period original.
The 2.02ct oval brilliant sits at the centre in a bezel setting - a substantial stone that fills the face of the ring with presence. K-L colour places it in the noticeable warm/faintly yellow tint range, and P2 clarity means inclusions are visible to the naked eye. At this size, the diamond still performs well visually. Two curved channel-set rows of 16 square French-cut rubies frame the sides, their deep pinkish-red providing strong colour contrast against the warm gold. The frame is populated with 70 additional round brilliant diamonds across the radiating geometric sections.
From the photos, the ring is in excellent condition throughout. The open gallery construction beneath the head reduces weight while providing light access from below. The inner shank is stamped "585 R0.44ct D2.02ct D0.81ct" confirming metal purity and stone weights. Rubies have undergone standard clarity enhancement (treatment observed, I+), which is common for commercial rubies.
