Description
This is not a stock VE SS ute that has been lightly modified. This is a purpose-built, thoroughly engineered performance machine that started life as a VE Series 1 SS and has been transformed into something that sits in a different category entirely. The original L98 6.0-litre engine was fully forged and rebuilt at 139,459km by CV Performance into a 6.6-litre (403ci) stroker, topped with a Harrop 2650 FDFI positive displacement supercharger. The result was verified on a Mainline DynoLog hub dynamometer on 27 July 2023: 577.8kW and 1,048Nm at the rear wheels. The dyno sheet is included with the car.
The engine build reads like a serious performance brief. A Compstar forged rotating assembly with CP forged blown pistons and a Brian Tooley Racing supercharger camshaft form the foundation. The induction system runs a Harrop 2650 FDFI supercharger with a PWR heat exchanger, 102mm Aeroflow throttle body, and Xspurt 725cc fuel injectors fed by a KPM Street Fighter 1500hp fuel module. An X-Force dual 3-inch stainless steel exhaust with 1 3/4-inch extractors handles the outgoing end. The drivetrain has been upgraded to handle the output, with a new Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual fitted by Australian Transmission Centre in May 2022 and a McLeod RXT 1,000hp twin-plate clutch with lightened flywheel. A Wavetrac differential with Holden 3.7 gears manages the rear. Suspension was freshly replaced in September 2024 with a Modul coil-over setup, professionally installed and aligned. All of this is supported by invoices and receipts on hand, representing thousands of dollars in documented mechanical spend.
The vendor has owned the car since 2010 at approximately 32,000km and has maintained receipts throughout. The exterior presents cleanly in Nitrate Silver with a hard keyless remote-operated tonneau cover and quad exhaust tips, presenting as a tidy street car rather than a track-prepared vehicle. Interior upgrades include a Pioneer 12-inch subwoofer in a custom enclosure and Pioneer mono amplifier. A new battery, radiator, and starter motor have also been fitted. The compliance plate confirms the factory build was an L98-powered M10 six-speed manual SS, with the engine having since been replaced with the current supercharged unit.
