Ford Performance Vehicles built the BA GT to be Australia's answer to the overseas performance sedan, and in many respects they pulled it off. The 5.4-litre V8 in GT specification produced 320kW and 520Nm of torque, figures that placed it in genuine supercar territory when it was new. Two decades on, these cars have become the sort of thing enthusiasts seek out deliberately, and the BA GT in particular is appreciated for its combination of performance and practicality in a locally built four-door body.
