The most thematically distinctive work in this series, this piece incorporates an explicit written message: the words "NO MORE WAR" are inscribed in coloured pencil at the bottom centre of the composition, giving the work a clear political and humanistic dimension not present in any other lot. The central subject is a large stylized peacock with dramatically fanned tail feathers rendered in pink/rose and green/teal eye-spots with spiky, leaf-like plume forms. The peacock's body itself is constructed from architectural elements: scaled/tiled textures, an arched tunnel at the base, and a spiral motif, maintaining the artist's characteristic architectural hybrid approach. Small hot air balloons float whimsically among the upper plumage, adding a note of lightness and hope. Architectural fragments and spiral forms fill the margins.<br>
