Yosi Messiah is a contemporary Israeli-Australian artist whose bold, gestural figurative and bird paintings have built a strong following in the Australian market. His characteristic technique combines spontaneous brushwork with deliberate dripped paint lines, creating compositions that are simultaneously decorative and emotionally direct.<br>

"Love Birds" from 2018 is a vibrant square-format composition showing two colourful parrots perched face to face on a yellow-striped bar, their beaks nearly touching, against a rich red-orange ground.
