<b>Description</b><br>
A richly layered Cubo-Futurist composition in which interlocking arches, staircases, angular beams, spiraling scrolls and architectural fragments are compressed into overlapping planes that dissolve the traditional distinction between building and ornament. The palette is warm and varied: pinks, mauves, greens, yellows, blues, ochres and greys. At the very top of the composition, small building rooftops and chimneys peek above the geometric structures - a subtle suggestion that the abstraction is grounded in an imagined real city.<br><br>
The medium is colored pencil with a characteristic stippled and hatched texture. The verso is blank. In good condition with minor corner wear. Signed "ISHISHI" in reddish-brown at lower right.<br><br>
