Overview
This is a factory HSV VX Clubsport R8 (Build No. 348, manufactured 29 November 2000, paint code XXJ4B) that has undergone a comprehensive and professionally documented performance build. Starting with the LS1 5.7-litre V8 and the highly desirable six-speed manual transmission, the engine has been fitted with a ProCharged centrifugal supercharger, CNC-machined cylinder heads, a GMM Turbo Killer performance camshaft, upgraded fuel injectors, an upgraded fuel pump, K&N cold-air induction and Di Fillipo extractors. Running on BP98 premium fuel, the build has been independently verified by two separate chassis dynamometers, with GM Motorsport's Dynologic report (dated 11 August 2010) recording 430kW at the wheels, and a subsequent Dyno Dynamics run confirming a maximum of 432.6 RWkW. Both dyno sheets are present with the vehicle.
The factory HSV specification is confirmed throughout. The HSV build plate records the original VX Clubsport R8 configuration. The body plate confirms LS1 engine, MM6 six-speed manual transmission, and GT4 limited-slip differential axle. The Holden By Design accessory plate (dated 19 March 2001) records build number 13729 with options SNR. The vehicle presents in champagne gold with the original factory HSV woven fabric sports seats in excellent condition, HSV embroidered floor mats, and the full HSV interior specification including a sunroof.
Performance hardware visible and photographed includes yellow Brembo performance brake calipers at all four corners, aftermarket 7-spoke alloys on performance tyres, and an Auto Meter Cobalt boost gauge mounted on the steering column pod. The boot has been fitted with a Pioneer sub-bass speaker and a fire extinguisher is mounted in the boot. A Clarion VX709A 7-inch touchscreen double-DIN head unit has been installed in place of the factory stereo. Auto climate control is present and functional.
