A Heavy Cast Iron Spherical Object Featuring A Forged Iron Ring Loop At The Top. The Piece Appears To Be Constructed From Two Cast Halves Joined At A Visible Seam Running Around The Circumference. A Small Square Indentation Or Plug Is Visible On One Face. The Object Is Consistent With A Historical Maritime Buoy Weight, Mooring Weight Or Similar Utilitarian Iron Sphere.

Condition Notes
The Entire Surface Displays Heavy Rust And Oxidation With Areas Of Pitting And Flaking Corrosion. Patches Of Lighter Discolouration And Ochre-Coloured Deposits Are Visible Across The Body. The Casting Seam Is Visible Where The Two Halves Meet. The Iron Ring Loop At The Top Shows Corrosion But Remains Intact. Loose Rust Debris Is Present, Shedding From The Surface. Refer To Images.
